Thank you, Robin, for your thoughtful impressions of the Copenhagen Climate Summit. Too often, our only sources of information on critically important initiatives such as this, are individuals not directly involved in the work on which they are reporting.

But your post provides an inside-view of what transpired at Copenhagen, from the perspective of a person who was not only present, but an active participant in the Summit's work and mission.

Equally as important, your post demonstrates that each of us shares in the responsibility for creating a sustainable world. Although most individuals would not immediately see either the role or the responsibility that the travel industry has in protecting our planet, you are doing great work in educating us all, and in helping provide the resources through which we can participate in this vital work.

I've been anxious to hear your take on the conference. Since you're out of town until 1/4 i decided just now to see what I could learn through Googling. And here we are!

My real interest is in knowing about the spirit of the Conference. Was it obliterated by the negotioations' failures/ has the media snowballed us all? What is your sense of any progress having been made.

I think just being there must have been an inspiring experience that all carried home in hopes of upcoming progress. But I've always been a dreamer. Tell me I'm not wrong.

By the by, hope to see you here in Feb. How exciting for me.
Love & Peace,
Connie

I enjoyed reading this review of events in Copenhagen. It's encouraging to see that the travel industry is supporting an important move in the right direction (i.e., eradicating poverty, providing economic development and promoting gender equality. It will be interesting to see how tour and travel companies respond to these challenges in the coming years. Keep the posts coming!
