Governments, business, science and educators have set the mark for carbon reductions by 2020. Great strides have been made for travel and tourism. After seven years of effort, a partnership of trusted conservationists and business leaders have announced the Global Sustainability Tourism Criteria. The industry is setting the standards. Creating the measurements. And acting on mitigation in new and complementary ways.
Robin Tauck is currently a shareholder of Tauck World Discovery and has served as its President,a position held for ten years, and as its CEO. Robin is a 30-year veteran of the global travel industry. Since 1998, Robin has helped Tauck forge leading partnerships with the National Park Service, many foundations and global related outreach to World Heritage Sites, protecting tourism interests and conservation.
Business Partner Randy Durband, past President of Travcoa, has also developed experiential tourism to over 85 countries and like Robin, serves on new Boards and actionable Committees, including ICOMOS and UNESCO's Sustainable Tourism Program in Paris.

Today, Robin Tauck & Partners has a mission: to lead, inspire and assist our governments and the travel industry, within the U.N. framework, to act on immediate sustainability practices.

Art inspires. Technology can inform. But only travel has the power to forge deep emotional connections between people around the world.
There is, arguably, no greater force for change. With $6 billion, 900 million arrivals and 230 million people behind it, tourism now drives history’s greatest shift of wellbeing from developed to emerging nations. UNEP reports tourism can provide 70% of GDP in developing countries, bringing an unprecedented opportunity for education, health and wellbeing for all nations. It’s the right thing to do.
